The Kenton Building, 1813 Collingwood and 2318 Monroe Street, replaced the former home of Wilburn Colburn of 1805 Collingwood. Designed as a commercial building, it also housed numerous apartments on its second floor. Preservationists opposed its demolition in 1973 and its replacement with a gas station by the Standard Oil Company. | |||||
