Kansas-born Charles Lasley, a civil engineer with The A. Bentley & Sons Company, lived at 4 Bronson Place, according to the 1907, 1910 and 1918 Polk city directories.  Other residents according to the 1910 Census included his wife Elizabeth Lasley along with sons E. Duster Lasley and John Lasley.  Massachusetts-born Nellie Jones was the family's live-in domestic in 1910.
